We do not run plays just because they worked last year. We break problems down to the actual mechanics and rebuild from there. The fact that something is the industry standard is not, by itself, a reason to do it.
We experiment on purpose. We test things that have a real chance of failing, because the alternative is doing what everyone else is already doing. When something does fail, we keep the lesson and move on.
Restaurants do not operate on quarterly timelines. Neither do we. We measure progress in days, not weeks, and weeks, not quarters. A good answer today is worth more than a perfect answer next month.
