Job Description: We are seeking a strategic and client-focused Account Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of restaurant clients and serve as their primary strategic partner, ensuring they achieve strong revenue growth while maximizing the value of Dineline’s technology and marketing services.
Your focus will be on client retention, portfolio expansion, and long-term relationship management. You’ll work closely with restaurant owners and operators to identify growth opportunities, communicate performance insights, and recommend strategies that leverage Dineline’s platform and services.
This is a high-impact, client-facing role ideal for someone who thrives on building strong partnerships, analyzing performance data, and driving measurable business outcomes.
Who is this Role Not For?
This role isn’t for someone looking for a passive client management position. The Account Manager role requires strategic thinking, proactive ownership, and strong accountability for both retention and revenue growth.
If you prefer simply maintaining accounts without driving measurable outcomes, this role will not be the right fit. Success in this position requires someone who thrives on building partnerships, analyzing performance, and actively helping clients grow their businesses.
Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary strategic partner for an assigned portfolio of restaurant clients.
- Conduct bi-weekly client check-ins and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to review performance, communicate ROI, and align on growth strategies.
- Build strong relationships with restaurant owners and operators to ensure long-term satisfaction and trust.
- Proactively identify potential risks within accounts and develop retention strategies to maintain strong client relationships.
Portfolio Retention & Health:
- Maintain 95%+ Net Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) retention across your assigned portfolio.
- Ensure high levels of client engagement and platform adoption with Dishio and Dineline’s marketing services.
- Identify at-risk accounts early and implement proactive solutions to address concerns or performance gaps.
Portfolio Expansion & Upsell:
- Identify growth opportunities within the client portfolio, including additional services, new restaurant locations, or expanded marketing strategies.
- Present strategic recommendations and proposals aligned with each client’s growth goals.
- Manage the full upsell cycle from opportunity identification to proposal, negotiation, and closing new revenue.
- Excellent Communication: Effective communication is key to this role. You will work closely with restaurant owners, some of whom may have limited experience in advertising. Adaptability in your communication style, depending on the client’s needs, is crucial.
- Operational Excellence:
- Maintain accurate and detailed account records in the CRM, including account plans, opportunities, risks, and next steps.
- Forecast retention and expansion revenue for leadership with a high degree of accuracy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery for clients.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Account Management, Client Success, or strategic sales roles managing a book of business.
- Proven track record of driving client retention and expansion revenue within a portfolio.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage executive-level decision makers.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate performance data into actionable growth strategies.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce and working with performance reporting tools.
- Highly organized, accountable, and proactive with the ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in SaaS, digital marketing agencies, or technology-enabled services.
- Direct experience with paid advertising platforms (Paid Social, Google Ads, etc.) or marketing performance management.
- Familiarity with the restaurant industry or hospitality sector.
- Experience presenting performance insights and strategy to business owners or senior leadership.
Compensation Package:
- Earning Potential: $90,000–$130,000 OTE (base + commission, negotiable based on experience).
- Compensation is based on a performance-driven growth model with three key pillars:
- Adjusted Base Salary tied to portfolio retention performance
- Retention Bonus for maintaining elite portfolio health
- Growth Commission for generating expansion MRR through upsells and additional services
